Join A.R.T./New York and Producer Hub for a free virtual webinar led by Danielle King, A.R.T./New York’s Director of Program Strategy & Engagement. In this session, we’ll teach some project budgeting basics, provide a framework for developing a values-aligned budget, and look through some real project budget examples.
Attendees of this webinar will receive a project budget template as well as the opportunity to schedule a 1-on-1 budgeting consulting session. If you are interested in budgeting but are not free for the webinar, you can RSVP and indicate interest to receive the webinar recording, budget template, and access to schedule a 1-on-1 budgeting consulting session. ASL interpretation and Live CART captioning will be provided during this webinar and it will be recorded.

Theatrical Happy Hour x Producer Hub
March 31, 2026 – 5:30pm–8:30pm ET in Midtown Manhattan
On Tuesday, March 31, 2026 from 5:30–8:30pm ET, Producer Hub hosted a networking session with Theatrical Happy Hour. This event was for non-performing staff, administrators, and creatives in the theatrical community and took place in midtown Manhattan.
In addition to networking and light refreshments, we offered free micro headshot sessions with professional headshot photographers. A single-look session was available on a first-come, first-served basis, with a suggested $15 donation to the photographers.
Finance for Creatives: led by David Thomson

Money doesn’t have to be a mystery. Learn practical budgeting, banking, and saving strategies to build stability while staying true to your values and creative practice. Strengthen your credit, manage debt, and plan for the future with care at the center. We’ll also explore key life planning documents to ensure your financial and health decisions reflect what matters most to you.
The workshop is practical and interactive, designed to help you leave with completed tasks, clear next steps, and defined goals for the future. Bring questions.
Bringing your laptop is highly recommended.
About David Thomson:
David Thomson is an interdisciplinary artist who has worked extensively across the fields of dance, music, performance, and theater for over 40 years, working and collaborating with a wide range of artists including Bebe Miller, Trisha Brown (1987-1993), Ralph Lemon, Sekou Sundiata, Marina Abramović, Yvonne Rainer, Maria Hassabi, and Matthew Barney among many others. Thomson’s work has been recognized with awards and fellowships from United States Artists[Ford], New York Foundation for the Arts, Yaddo, MacDowell, Rauschenberg, Foundation for Contemporary Arts, and the Alpert Award. He was honored with a Bessie for Sustained Achievement (2001) and for Outstanding Production for he his own mythical beast (2018).
Thomson initiated the Artist Sustainability Project with Kate Watson-Wallace in 2017 as an ongoing platform to expand the discourse and ideas on financial, artistic, and personal empowerment within the arts community. In 2024, he and Emily Waters developed YoungArts’ Artist Resource Collective (ARC), a financial wellness and professional development program.
